THE BOURBON PREMIERE AT 21c MUSEUM HOTEL
ATTENTION: OPENING EVENT TICKET HOLDERS
We like a little water in our Bourbon sometimes, but this is ridiculous.
Due to the forecast of severe storms Wednesday night, we’re moving The Bourbon Premiere opening celebration indoors to the 21c Museum Hotel on Whiskey Row in downtown Louisville.
Condé Nast Traveler magazine readers voted 21c Louisville among the top 10 hotels in the world in the 2009, 2010 and 2011 Readers’ Choice Awards, and the number one hotel in the South in 2013.
The time is still the same – 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m., and we’ll still run shuttles from the Marriott Louisville East to the new location. There’s also valet parking at the 7th Street entrance, if you prefer to drive. Just don’t drink and drive.
Despite Mother Nature, this event will be the perfect kick-off to the Kentucky Bourbon Affair week. At last count, we have more than 130 of the Commonwealth’s signature spirits to sample, along with Bourbon-inspired cuisine from Louisville’s Urban Bourbon Trail restaurants. There will be a cocktail competition among famed local bartenders, great live music and plenty of Bourbon Barons and Master Distillers.
And there’s always something fun to see at the eclectic 21c, with its boutique hotel, contemporary art museum and cultural civic center.
Kick off your classic Kentucky Bourbon Affair experience by celebrating the best of the Commonwealth's signature industries -- Bourbon and horses -- on Wednesday evening, May 14, from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
Guest will gather at 21C Museum Hotel to savor the best Bourbon and whiskey inspired cuisine the Bluegrass has to offer, featuring food and drinks from the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, the Kentucky Bourbon Trail Craft Tour and Louisville's unique Urban Bourbon Trail restaurants.
Enjoy cocktails in this living art museum, sample renowned brands and new craft offerings, then roam the halls where art comes alive. Meet famous Master Distillers, Bourbon legends and other VIPs. All the while, you'll be entertained by live traditional music.
Valet service will be available at the hotel.
The Bourbon ties here are strong. Laura Lee Brown and Steve Wilson purchased Hermitage Farm in 2010. They are owners of 21c Museum Hotels and the Kentucky Bison Co., and also are investors in the Whiskey Row Revitalization project on West Main Street in downtown Louisville.
We can't think of a more elegant, intimate way to start your Affair. And did we say it might be the world's biggest Bourbon tasting? Ever?
You be the judge. Fashionable equine attire encouraged, but not required.
Only 300 tickets available - $200 per person, transportation included from the Marriott Louisville East, valet available at 21C Museum Hotel.
